After a hiatus for the summer, the EWA returns to action for the first time under new ownership, at it's new home in Southbridge, MA! The Knights of Columbus Hall in Southbridge, MA will host the action of New England's premier promotion as they kick it into high gear next Friday night with a 7:30pm bell time. The card is stacked from top-to-bottom, and tickets are available in advance for only $10, or at the door for just $12. Don't miss your opportunity to catch the EWA, the home of the BEST unsigned talent in New England, next Friday night!!!
In the main event, defending EWA Heavyweight Champion Dr. Heresy is thrust into an unusual situation, as Commissioner Johnny Heartbreaker has decreed that Heresy must face the winner of the New England Invitational, his former co-holder of the EWA Tag Team Titles, the one and only Maverick Wild. Heresy had challenged John Walters to a match after the champ was pinned by Walters in their six-man tag match in June, but Heartbreaker took offense to Heresy's attempt to set up his own matches, and told Heresy that he would do him better. Since Heresy had challenged Walters on the basis of wanting to prove that he was indeed the best in the EWA, Heartbreaker decided to one-up Heresy. Instead of Walters, Heartbreaker signed Heresy to a title defense against the man who had pinned Walters to win the New England Invitational tournament the night after Walters had pinned Heresy, Maverick Wild. Heresy was less than happy to find out about this, as this is not the first time he has butted heads with Heartbreaker, and he must now face his former teammate, a highly respected veteran of 13-years who proved himself the best in all of New England on June 27. While Heresy is not backing down from this challenge and has said that he welcomes the opportunity to prove himself against Wild, he has promised to confront Heartbreaker about his actions, changing Heresy's challenge with less then two weeks to go before the show, in person on September 5. What will happen when Mind and Matter clash? Will Heartbreaker be forced to answer for his card shuffling? Will Heresy retain the EWA Title, or will Maverick once again prove why he won the NEI? Don't miss it all next Friday night!!!
In another controversial Heartbreaker decision, due to the inability of Johnny Curtis to appear on the September 5 card, which would be his second straight missed EWA show, Heartbreaker has stripped Team Tap Out (Curtis and Black) of their EWA Tag Team Titles and announced a one-night, four team tournament for the belts on September 5. The teams, Thrillogy (Mikazi and Chris Camero), The Xtreme Die Hards ("Xtreme" Adam Hastey and "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards), Cueball and "Flash" Nick McKenna, and Brian Black and Mini, will compete in a single-elimination Tag Title tournament, with the winner being awarded the new EWA Tag Team Titles. Don't miss the crowning of new EWA Tag Team Champions next Friday night!!!
In other action, EWA New England Champion Adam Booker, accompanied by the lovely as ever Miss Kristy, and Frankie Armadillo team to take on "Lifesaver" Billy Kryptonite and Kid Krazy in a tag team war. Last time out, Adam Booker got a measure of revenge for Kryptonite destroying Miss Kristy with his Tidal Wave finisher in April by pinning him in the main event of the show. Fortunes were different for Armadillo however, as Krazy eked out a win in their singles match following a piledriver. Now Armadillo and Booker, former Chaotic Tag Team Champions together, again join forces, this time to take on the duo of Kryptonite and Krazy. Will Miss Kristy be safe from Kryptonite's wrath at ringside? To what limits will these two teams take each other? Find out next Friday night in Southbridge!!!
In other action, "Enforcer" Larry Huntley and Sonny Roselli have been promised a new member of their goon squad by Johnny Heartbreaker; will this be another member of the Roselli clan, a close acquaintance like Huntley, or someone entirely new? Find out next Friday night!...also in action, the EWA debut of Luis Ortiz, the ever-popular "Promise" Antonio Thomas, and more! Do NOT miss your chance to catch the re-launch of New England's premier promotion, the EWA, next Friday night in Southbridge! With a 7:30pm bell time, the Knights of Columbus (487 Worcester Street, Southbridge, MA) will assuredly be the place to be next Friday night- BE THERE!!!
