New England Championship Wrestling celebrates its 6th anniversary with the biggest event in its history BIRTHDAY BASH 6 taking place this Saturday night, August 19th at the National Guard Armory, 1000 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA with a 7:00 PM bell time.
NECWs anniversary event, BIRTHDAY BASH, is the companys biggest annual event. This year, BIRTHDAY BASH 6 is an even bigger milestone. Last March, New England Championship Wrestling and PWF Mayhem, two of the leading wrestling promotions in the region, announced a merger with the two organizations joining forces and operating under the New England Championship Wrestling name. The NECW and PWF Mayhem Championships were kept separate until all pending challenges were addressed. On Saturday night, August 19th, all NECW & PWF titles will be unified in a champion vs. champion event.
The main event will feature NECW Heavyweight Champion, D.C. Dillinger, managed by Sean Gorman, facing PWF Mayhem Heavyweight Champion, The Human Nightmare Evan Siks, with the winner crowned the first ever undisputed, NECW Triple Crown Champion.
PWF Mayhem Tag Team Champions, The Canadian Superstars (J Busta & Dave Cole), managed by Brian Cairo will take on the newly crowned NECW Tag Team Champions, The Wild Boys (Mike Lynch & Billy King) to determine the unified tag team champions.
NECW Television Champion, Big Guns Frankie Arion will face off with arch nemesis, PWF Mayhem Junior Heavyweight Champion, The Talent T.J. Richter to crown a unified television champion.
Just announced, there will be a rematch from this past Sunday's World Women's Wrestling Championship main event as Nikki Roxx defends the WWW Championship against Ariel - this time in a 2 out of 3 falls match. If you missed the incredible battle between these two this past Sunday night, that bout alone was worth the price of admission. Now this 2 out of three falls championship battle is a part of BIRTHDAY BASH 6.
In other bouts, there will be a rematch of this year's IRON 8 Championship Final, as former NECW Heavyweight Champion, "Hurricane" John Walters, 2006 IRON 8 Champion, "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards, former PWF Heavyweight Champion, Jason Blade and former WWE star and NECW Tag Team Champion, Antonio "The Promise" Thomas collide in a special elimination match to determine the ..1 contender for the NECW Triple Crown Championship.
Plus "The Exotic" Kristian Frost battles "Straight Edge" Brian Fury in a battle of former NECW Tag Team Champions. And in a tag team match to determine the ..1 contender for the unified tag team titles, 2D Edge (Jose Perez & Pat Masters) face the team of Kid Mikaze & Scott Reed.
Tickets for NECW's BIRTHDAY BASH 6 can be purchased at all Strawberries locations, K.C.'s Sports Cards, 33 Temple Street in Quincy Center and online at www.NECWwrestling.com.
