On the heels of a rousing success with its debut event on March 5th, WORLD WOMEN’S WRESTLING (WWW) returns to live action on Sunday, May 7th at Good Time Emporium, 30 Assembly Square Drive in Somerville, MA, with a bell time of 7:00 PM.
“We were extremely gratified by the response from both fans and the media to the premiere of Triple W,” said Sheldon Goldberg, President of New England Championship Wrestling, the parent company of WORLD WOMEN’S WRESTLING. “We are very proud that these extraordinary women are beginning to get their just due as athletes.”
The main event on May 7th is a special tag team grudge match. After events which took place in March, Nikki Roxx, the newly crowned NECW (New England Championship Wrestling) Women’s Champion teams with former champion, Mercedes Martinez to face PWF Mayhem Women’s Champion, Ariel and her partner, the biggest and baddest woman in WWW, “Pryme Tyme” Amy Lee.
In a special challenge match, former NECW Women’s Champion, Violet Flame takes on Cindy Rogers, who came close to capturing the PWF Mayhem Women’s Championship in March.
In other bouts, Miss DeVille, one half of the popular Diva Killaz tag team, appears in singles action facing Kacee Carlisle. Jana will do battle with Tanya Lee. Miss Della Morte returns to WWW action to square off against Synndy. Alexa Thatcher also returns to collide with the other half of The Diva Killaz, Kayla Sparks.
In addition, based on events that took place in March, there will be a special mixed tag team attraction. Alicia teams up with the most controversial athlete in NECW, "The Exotic" Kristian Frost to take on the team of Amber and “Sweet” Scott Ashworth.
Tickets for WORLD WOMEN’S WRESTLING are $16 for adults and $11 for kids under 12 and students with an ID. A special VIP ticket which guarantees front row seating is $20. Tickets are on sale now at all Strawberries locations and online at www.NECWwrestling.com.
